Harriet Tubman, Hellen Keller, Susan B. Anthony, Sacagawea, Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart: all women who have achieved greatness and have forever made their way into American History.  Through great feats and incredible acts of heroism, many of them have had a hand in shaping America as we know it.  They have been an inspiration to millions worldwide.  We know them by name, learned about them from textbooks and movies, and have shared their stories with others.  But there are many great women in U.S. history who have gone unnoticed.  Through multiple different reasons, some of these women's stories have slipped through the cracks, or have been lost in history completely.  But who these women were and what they did is still so significant in our world today.  They have impacted our lives in ways many of us wouldn't even realize.  Many of these historical women deserve to be rediscovered and their accomplishments should be brought into a brighter light.

Conserving American History

On this website we will be rediscovering two amazing women in American History and look at three key points for each:

Who They Are

How They Made History

The Importance of Conserving Their Story

There is also a section entitled "Other Notable Women" where you can browse my blog entries on other lesser-known women whose historical attainments make them deserving of rediscovery.  Though there are thousands more, these are just a few stories and achievements I was determined to highlight.
