Genius mathmatician, Katherine Johnson, worked for NASA from 1953-1988. Known for her mastery of complex manual calculations, Katherine's calculations of orbital mechanics mapped the trajectories for the first NASA manned spaceflights and many after. Her works included calculating trajectories, launch windows, and emergency return paths for the spaceflights of Project Mercury, and the Apollo program, as well as many others.
